Travelers to the islands would find it interesting to note that if one part of the island is stormy, they could always escape and drive their way to the other end which sometimes is only an hour drive ! which has an exact opposite condition a clear sunny day!.

Is Summer the perfect time to visit the islands

For some tourists, they consider summer as the perfect time to have a Hawaiian adventure. With the temperature hovering around 30ºC starting from May to October, visitors would have an excellent climate to enjoy doing countless beach activities. It is an ideal time to get a tan, learn how to surf and snorkel or play golf. The temperature gets cooler by evening, usually dropping to 20ºC to 25ºC. There are also little rain showers during this season.

On the other hand, winter is also an exceptional season to tour Hawaii. Beginning from the middle of October until the month of April, the temperature becomes even cooler. With the daytime temperatures ranging from 15ºC to 28ºC, it is a wonderful time to enjoy cool sea breezes and catch sight of higher waves. It is recommended to bring a jacket or sweater when tourists are going out at night to have romantic dinner cruises since the temperature during nighttime usually averages at 10ºC.  Find Hawaii's weather here

There is more rainfall in winter, particularly in the months of November and December. The driest places to be in Hawaii during this season are in Wailea, Makena and Kihei on Maui, Poipu Beach on Kauai, Waikiki Beach or Makapuu beach on Oahu, and Kohala and Kona on Big Island.

The one favorite activity to do during the winter season is to watch professional surfers compete against the strong, high and dangerous waves of the ocean. There are several surfing competitions within the winter months. Thousands of locals and tourists alike gather every year along the North Shore in the island of Oahu to witness these professional surfers exhibit their talents.
