Hawaii. Jamaica. Bermuda. Florida. Your own hometown. Whether you are having a destination wedding at one of the many exotic and amazing places in the world, or you are hosting many out of town family and friends in your own backyard, you may come across one big obstacle for your guests to overcome.

In this day and age of people spreading further around the world and people making online friends that they don’t ever see due to the distance in miles between them, it may come as no surprise that whether you are getting married in a lush tropical paradise or in the city where you grew up, people will probably have to fly in to attend your affair. If you are jetting off to a lush tropical location, everyone will be flying in with you to witness you exchange vows. But how will they get to you once they arrive at their hotels?
Many couples are considering providing some sort of transportation for out of town guests. While it is the least expensive option, arranging for local guests to pair up with out of town guests and ride together is a complicated option. Finding someone who will have room in their car, and making sure that the guests all know they have to arrive together and leave together can make for an uncomfortable arrangement. Still, you might be able to pair up family members with other family members, college roommates with other college roommates.
Another alternative would be a shuttle service. Many bus companies and even limousine services have large passenger vehicles that you can rent for the course of your event. They can be asked to go to one central pick up spot, if all of your guests are booked at the same hotel, or you can ask them to make multiple stops.
Some of these companies will only do one trip to your event, then one trip out, even if they do multiple stops. This will require you to advise your guests they need to be ready to board the shuttle at specific times. It does save your family and friends from having to worry about coordinating carpools.
Providing shuttle service for your out of town guests makes their trip to your wedding that much easier. Anything you do to help make your guests experience memorable, enjoyable and stress free is going to help ensure a wedding full of happy people.
